Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott could make the Cowboys America’s Team again

Authentic Kids George Iloka Jersey The Dallas Cowboys were once America’s Team. In their 1990s heyday, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Michael Irvin won three Super Bowls, and no matter where you’re from, you knew at least one diehard Cowboys fan.

But 20 years of futility slowly changed that — until last season. With rookie sensations Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott in the fold, Dallas started to look like a team that fans across the nation can embrace once again.

The Panthers saw one tackle, Mike Remmers, go to Minnesota, and they added a former Viking, Matt Kalil, to be their new starter on the left side. Kalil was a terrific rookie first-rounder for his former team, but his play and inability to stay healthy have forced a sharp decline since.
Authentic Kids Wily Peralta Jersey
With a five-year, $55 million investment, Carolina literally is banking on Kalil having an all-around rebound. The change of scene that includes the presence of his five-time Pro Bowl brother Ryan at center may end up working well for both Matt and the Panthers. It’s reasonable to think Matt can become an above-average pass protector again.

The right side, Newton’s non-Blind Side, is a concern with post-concussion Michael Oher’s NFL future still in question. Rookie second-round pick Taylor Moton will get a chance to battle for that starting spot, but it’s more likely the Panthers ease him in as a backup swing tackle/guard. Daryl Williams is in position to be the shaky stopgap until Moton is up to speed. Andrew Norwell returns as the stud at left guard, while Trai Turner will be happy to stay at right guard and not be forced outside.

NBA Finals 2017: Cavs will stick with J.R. Smith as starter in Game 3

J.R. Smith has been a non-factor in the NBA Finals so far, but he’ll be in the Cavaliers’ starting lineup once again when Game 3 tips off Wednesday.

Amid speculation that Iman Shumpert might take Smith’s starting spot with the Cavs down 2-0 to the Warriors, Cleveland coach Tyronn Lue said no such change will be made.

So, as the refs explained after the game, the confusion can be chalked up to a miscommunication between themselves and the scorer’s table. The refs acknowledged they should have made sure the official scorer gave the first technical to the right person (Kerr) and not someone else (Green).

Bad officiating? Definitely. Conspiracy, the conclusion to which some NBA observers jumped? Definitely not.

If the NBA was to conspire during Game 4, wouldn’t it have been against the Warriors so the series would be extended by at least one more game? Why would the league conspire to help Golden State to four-game sweep? After all, a shorter series means less revenue for the league.

The Cavaliers were able to overcome Green’s continued presence on the floor to complete a 137-116 blowout over the Dubs and force a Game 5 – exactly how the league would have scripted it.

Tristan Thompson has five rebounds in the first quarter. That’s already more than any game in this series. The Cavs are playing with serious energy, and the fans in Cleveland are alive. Cavs 27, Warriors 13 halfway through the first.

Cleveland won’t go away quietly. The Cavs start on a 14-5 run, capped by another Smith 3-pointer. Side note: James made some history.

LeBron: ‘Resilient’ Cavs were desperate to avoid sweep

LeBron James believes the Cleveland Cavaliers’ championship DNA helped them stay alive against the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.

The defending champions came into Friday’s meeting at the Quicken Loans Arena 3-0 down in the best-of-seven series with the Warriors standing on the brink of history, seeking to become the first side to go 16-0 in the playoffs.

But the Cavs put in a remarkable performance in their 137-116 victory, racking up NBA Finals records for points scored in the first and second quarters (49 and 86), while their 24 three-pointers was also a new best.

Acting coach Mike Brown has done as good of a job as you can ask, going 10-0 in his tenure during the playoffs. As long as Golden State stays winning, there’s no hurry for Kerr to come back. Even if they lose, Kerr’s long-term health and comfort is above anything else.

Game 4 saw Kevin Love get punished for a flagrant foul after he hit Kevin Durant, on top of six other technicals on the Cavaliers. It also saw a defensive push from Cleveland, holding Warriors star Stephen Curry to just 14 points and 4 of 13 field goals.

Sean Taylor Authentic Jersey Lue indicated he will take the penalties and accusations of playing dirty if that results in a win.

Our mindset has to be winning games and not smiling back and forth or talking and playing, Lue said. I mean, they’re coming right after us, so we have to go after them. I don’t see anything’s funny or anything’s to smile about. So hitting and being physical and just everything they do to us in the first three games, we have to do that.

Last game, in Game 4, I thought that’s who we are. Got to be physical. If it’s talking trash or knocking guys on the floor, whatever you got to do, you got to do it. We have to be physical.

Adam Silver says NBA one-and-done system ‘not working for anyone’

D.J. Swearinger Youth Jersey
Change could be on the horizon regarding the NBA’s minimum age requirement and rules for collegiate one-and-done players entering the NBA Draft.

Speaking with reporters before Game 1 of the NBA Finals, NBA commissioner Adam Silver said the current one-and-done system is not working for anyone. The NBA and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) agreed to a collective bargaining agreement in 2005 that raised the minimum age from 18 to 19 years old for players entering the draft.

Winston Guy Youth Jersey I really don’t want to get into that, said West, who also spent five seasons as the Grizzlies general manager and is now a special advisor on the Warriors executive board. Frankly, I don’t even like to talk about his dad. I’d rather talk about the kid. His dad, to me 鈥?I wouldn’t want a father like that, to be honest with you. Because I think he puts added pressure on his kid.

You know he loves his kid, OK鈥攜ou know that. But it should be about his kids, not about him.

The Lakers are in a position, are they going to draft him, that’s up to them, West added. They’ve got a big decision to make. I wouldn’t let a father influence who I drafted, that would be for sure. I would want the player who I felt was the best player at that position. When you’re drafting at that position, you cannot afford to miss.

From scolding his teenage AAU basketball players or female reporters, or criticizing Lonzo’s former UCLA teammates, LaVar Ball isn’t doing his son any favors, though UCLA coach Steve Alford said LaVar Ball was never a distraction for his Bruins team.

Super Bowl hangover doomed Panthers from the start, says safety Kurt Coleman

The Super Bowl hangover is real and Carolina safety Kurt Coleman now admit’s there was nothing his team could do to make it go away.

Heres the quirky part as to why.

Trying to prevent the inevitable letdown that comes from losing in the NFLs biggest game, Panthers head coach Ron Rivera took a different approach to offseason preparation for the 2016 campaign. The emphasis was on how this was a new season and what happened in the past must stay there.

Among his motivational tactics, Rivera had Panthers coaches reinstall their playbook from the very beginning even though a roster of veterans was well schooled in the systems installed by both returning coordinators. Team leaders preached Riveras live-in-the-moment mantra to the media.

Theyre not household names and a lot of people dont know them, but theyre definitely going out there and competing, Hyde said. That’s whats fun to see.

I was in that position at one time and thrown into the fire. But as long as you go out and compete and help the guys next to you, youll be fine.

Hyde said Packers coaches stressed at the start of last years offseason program for the safeties to learn all of the back-end stuffin case a position switch was needed.

Know the corner, know the nickel, know the dime, Hyde said. Injuries happen. Any time anything has happened, someone has stepped up.

Hyde did just that in last Sundays 34-31 road win over top-seeded Dallas. Hyde read a wide receiver screen perfectly, immediately breaking to the football to intercept a Dak Prescott pass intended for wide receiver Cole Beasley at Green Bays 21-yard line in the third quarter.vikings_081

Rams cut loose entire coaching staff as head coach search begins

As the Rams search for a new head coach begins, management is cleaning house.
Authentic Womens Lance Moore Jersey
The Rams told their assistant coaches on Monday they can seek employment elsewhere. That includes defensive coordinator Gregg Williams and offensive coordinator Rob Boras. Williams is one of the closest friends of former head coach Jeff Fisher, who was fired on Dec. 12.

After Fisher was fired, the Rams appointed special teams coordinator John Fassel as the interim head coach for the final three games. The Rams lost all three and Fassel had a meeting Monday evening with executive vice president of football operations and chief operating officer Kevin Demoff and general manager Les Snead about his future.

Marshall’s disappointing season can be blamed on a number of factors, led by the revolving door of mediocre quarterbacks under center for the Jets throughout the season.

Marshall had to contend with the likes of Geno Smith, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Bryce Petty on a regular basis.
Authentic Womens Jarvis Landry Jersey
The results weren’t pretty for Marshall, whose vertical game was all but cut out of the playbook.

New York is currently trying to decide whether or not it is financially wise to keep Marshall. It’s true he’s reaching the point in his career where his skills have likely started to diminish; however, he’s still a Red Zone and vertical threat.

The Jets may decide that Marshall isn’t worth the money because they are unable to provide a quarterback that can make proper use of his remaining skills. If that’s the case, then the problem lies with the Jets, not Marshall.

Earlier this month, Marshall himself said he’d play for free in order to stay with the Jets. So he seems to have changed his tune.

Marshall might be better off getting released at this point in his career. He likely wouldn’t make over $7 million next season if that did happen, but he could sign on with a contender there are a host of them in need of a wide receiver and finally try to win a Super Bowl.

Sammy Watkins to undergo another foot surgery

Limited Kids Lamarcus Joyner Jersey
Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins will spend this offseason the same way he spent the last one recuperating from foot surgery.

The Buffalo News reported on Monday that Watkins consulted with the team’s medical staff Monday and decided to undergo another surgery. He had told reporters Sunday he hoped to avoid it.

Watkins, the No. 4 overall pick in 2014, underwentsurgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot following the 2015 season, rehabbingin time fortraining camp. But then landed on injured reserveafter Week 3. Hereturned for the final six games of the season.

Watkins finished the season with 28 catches for 430 yards and two touchdowns. Given all the other drama surrounding the Bills’ front office, head coaching vacancy and uncertain quarterback situation, it’s a bad time to learnthat one of their big playmakers needs surgery.

So, growing up in Garrisonville, Va., Jamie King imagined himself becoming a world-class athlete for him, that meant becoming part of his childhood team, the Redskins. Those dreams not only gave him something to strive for, but also put him in a position to prove to his stepfather that he was worth something to show how undeserved his abuse was.

Limited Kids Johnny Hekker Jersey Jamie King didn’t attain that aspiration until he was 32 years old, long after he had outgrown Frank King’s ability to abuse him, and not in the way he had imagined. He never became the pro athlete he had hoped after high school, he began work as a part-time broadcaster, eventually covering the team he wanted to play for growing up. In 1994, he was asked to apply for a coaching position for the newly formed Fredericksburg Generals of the American Football Association. He got the job, beating out more than 30 applicants.

It was then that King started assembling what he considers the best minor league team ever assembled, including former NFL Most Valuable Player Mark Moseley. It culminated with a 13-0, national title season two years later.

My honest answer to that would be no because of a couple of things

Authentic Mens Hroniss Grasu Jersey Documents obtained by The Oregonian revealed that Heimlich pleaded guilty to child molestation when he was a teenager. Heimlich, now 21, released a statement Friday, saying he is leaving the team as to not be a distraction ahead of the NCAA super regionals.

The left-hander is rated the No. 43 overall prospect for this month’s MLB draft by Baseball America, though his stock has been on the rise lately.

Heimlich’s history came to light when a reporter from The Oregonian ran the player’s name through the state’s court records database as part of the news outlet’s regular procedures when reporting a profile. Records showed that Heimlich had been cited in April for failing to update his sex offender registration in Oregon, and the reporter followed up by requesting court records from Washington, where Heimlich grew up.
Authentic Mens Geneo Grissom Jersey
Those records showed that Heimlich had pleaded guilty to first-degree child molestation in 2011 after inappropriately touching a 6-year-old female relative. He initially faced two counts, one of them for actions that had occurred when the girl was younger, but prosecutors dropped that charge as part of a plea bargain. The records obtained by The Oregonian included a handwritten document from Heimlich that said in part: I admit that I had sexual contact with the girl.

My honest answer to that would be no because of a couple of things, Schmidt said. First of all, it’s a language barrier. Because of that, I think he can’t be a guy that would sort of sit in a circle with four, five American players and talk about the game. Or try and learn about the game or discuss the inner workings of the game. Or come over to a guy and say, ‘Man, you gotta run that ball out.’ Just can’t be — because of the language barrier — that kind of a player.

Jaguars owner Shahid Khan, a Republican and Muslim, opposes Donald Trump’s travel freeze

Shahid Khan became a billionaire in the auto parts industry. He is the epitome of the American dream, emigrating to the United States from Pakistan in 1967 when he was just 17 years old.

He is the only Muslim-American to own an NFL team and has traditionally voted for Republicans. But Khan, who officially became a U.S. citizen in 1991, publicly spoke out against president Donald Trump’s executive order temporarily banning travel to the United States from seven Muslim-majority countries.

“I think we have to go back to what is cheating,” Dungy said. “People accusing us of cheating? I don’t think that’s the case. Stealing signals? You can go back to the 1800s in baseball, you can go anywhere there were signals done, and people were looking and watching and trying to get signals. Back in the early days of football the quarterbacks called the plays and the middle linebackers called the defenses and there was no signaling.

“When coaches decided they wanted to call plays you had to find ways to get the information in and there were people watching. My coach, Chuck Noll, was a messenger guard for Paul Brown in the ’50s because Paul Brown didn’t want to have to signal because people are going to watch them. So that’s what happens and it’s been done legally for years.”

Dungy, known as a defensive mastermind during his coaching days, gave PFT lengthy explanations of how defenses use an array of signals based on their opponents’ actions.

By no means was it against the rules, according to Dungy.

“That’s all part of the game, but doing it legally and illegally, that’s the difference. I hope Deion is not saying we did something illegally. Of course we got signals when we had an opportunity to do that, and so did Deion,” Dungy said.texans_124

Best trade fit for Jimmy Garoppolo: 49ers, Browns or Bears?

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady isn’t retiring anytime soon. That leaves the Super Bowl 51 champions, the smartest franchise in the NFL, with the best trade commodity of the 2017 offseason — third-year backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.

Garoppolo is entering the final year of his rookie contract, and several teams are desperate to find a franchise QB. New England is sitting on a highly coveted future starter for whom it will garner plenty of good potential deals — as high as a package that will include a first-round draft pick.

It’s becoming harder and harder to find a home for Peppers in Round 1, but I’d be shocked (at least as of now) if he fell out. Peppers is a safety for some teams, a linebacker for others. I don’t know which I’d prefer him at for the Chiefs, but unless they go quarterback, they’ll have plenty of options.

Dallas doesn’t have many needs, and it could look for the “best player available” at cornerback, receiver or defensive end. Wilson could go a lot higher, and some prefer him over Jalen Tabor at corner.
Elite Womens Lorenzo Taliaferro Jersey
Elite Womens Earl Thomas III Jersey The Lions will take a tight end in the first two rounds, barring a major trade or signing in free agency. They’d love to land O.J. Howard, but it’s highly unlikely he’ll be here. Njoku will blow up at the Combine.

Miami will be targeting linebackers and running backs early in the draft. Linebacker is more likely in Round 1 (Reuben Foster, Zach Cunningham or even Haason Reddick of Temple), but Foreman is a prospect I expect to rise during the process and earn first-round grades.
